Plan
Take a picture of the sky and edit music notes into the picture.
Unedited
I took pictures of sunsets, raindrops on windows and the reflection of the sky in the water on the ground after a rainstorm. At first, I found it difficult to take enough pictures of sunsets because I was usually inside when the sun was setting, but then when I was driving to my flute lesson, it was raining. After I parked, there were raindrops on my windshield so, I decided that rain came from the sky and I was at my flute lesson, so in a way, the picture connected to both the sky and music even if the viewer couldn't tell. The pictures of the reflections of the sky were taken outside a bandroom door so they are also in a way connected to music.
Edited
I edited my photos in lightroom first in order to make the colors look more vibrant, and then I switched to photoshop to add music notes into them. I used the burn tool to make places darker and the dodge tool to make places lighter. I also used the clone tool to copy the electrical line to make it look like there was a music staff the "burned" notes onto the staff.
Final
This is a picture of a tree and the sky being reflected into a puddle of water outside of the bandroom at my school. I used the lines from the electrical line in the reflection to bring out the music aspect in my photo. The lines stand out especially since there are multiple lines on the left, but only one line on the right side of the tree. The blue looks a little too blue further back towards the edge of the sidewalk. I think this picture is successful because the music isn't supposed to be there, plus it makes the viewer think about what they are seeing, but I wonder if it would look better if I added more music notes or made the current ones more noticable.
