Music in the winter
Plan
Take pictures of a windchime and have the sky in the background.
Unedited
Over the weekend, I was wanted to take pictures, but it was snowing so at first, I thought that I wasn't going to be able to take pictures, but after I went outside, I decided to try and take pictures anyways. I was originally trying to take pictures of the sky, but I didn't like the pictures very much since the sky was so cloudy and gray. Then, I saw our windchime and decides to take a picture of it. When you first think about a windchime, you would not think that it is an instrument, but there is in fact an instrument called the windchime so I thought that in a way, it still fit into my theme. I also took pictures of the snow itself while it was snowing.
Edited
First, I edited all of my pictures in lightroom and then I moved into photoshop. When i edited in lightroom, I first tried to make my pictures look the same as I saw them in person, but then I also made them look less like what I saw by changing the colors. In photoshop, I layered photos and used the opacity, but I also used the paintbrush tool in order to make the picture look like I splattered paint over it.
Final
This is a picture of metal windchimes, which is in the center of the photo, and there are also white "paint" splatters on either sides, and partly on, the windchimes. In the background, you can see some trees, but they are blurry so that they don't take away from the foreground. The lines of the windchimes contrast with the circular shapes of the splatters, which creates an interesting contrast throughout the picture. I like this picture because it causes you to look at it twice. At first glance, you see windchimes, but then you look again and wonder what is actually going on in the picture. The contrast and mystery hold the viewer's attention and in my opinion, that makes this picture successful. If I could change something about this picture, I would want there to be more meaning behind it or something that causes people to think about why I took this particular picture or why I edited it the way I did.
